more about “Hall & Oates Pay Tribute to Alan Colm…“, posted with vodpod

First off, let me start by saying that I love Hall & Oates. “Sara Smiles”, “Maneater”, and my personal favorite:”Out of Touch”. I’ve seen them perform at PNC Arts Center Summer Series two years ago, and it was awesome. I own their 2003 “Live In Concert” DVD, and watch it pretty frequently. Despite missing the first half of the 80s, and spending the second half crapping my diaper and spitting up on my mother, I feel like I could be an honorary 80s kid at heart.

With that being said, I’m glad to see the resurgence of a credible sad old bastard groups like Daryl and John, putting aside their bi-weekly pinochle and platinum record polishing to school some of these kids on how it’s done.  It’s refreshing to see that despite being irrelevant, they still maintain their 80s style amidst their facade.

Bon Jovi, I hope you’re taking notes.

It turns out that the mugging of McCain supporter Ashley Todd that has since been proved as a hoax may not be so made up after all. The Texas College Republicans National Committee volunteer claims that after sustaining a brutal beating for her McCain bumper sticker and $60, her alleged black assailant proceeded to shame her by groping her. And when you look this good, it makes her story that much more believable:

However, startling new evidence may shine some light on her allegations, as video evidence of what appears to be an exact description of her attacker: a tall, black man, who cannot stay away from innocent women:

Those dead-panned, rapist eyes will forever be burned into my nightmares.  Let’s keep praying that this bastard is apprehended, POST-HASTE!

Part one of Barack Obama’s media tour was at the surprisingly unlikely “O’Reilly Factor”, airing last week and continuing tonight. Seemingly collected, though understandably on guard, the Democratic Presidential nominee and Bill-O started off rather civilized, with the trademark “no-spin” line of questioning. Take a look:

Expect a few traps to be laid out for Obama to side step. After watching the first clip, O’Reilly appears quiet … a little … TOO quiet for common practices.

In the most recent form of smear bullshittery, Faux Fox News’ anchor E.D. (E, standing for Edith, and D, standing for dickhead) implied Barack and Michelle Obama’s celebratory pound before his nomination speech as a “terrorist fist jab”. The America’s Pulse host opened her show with this question, adding that the move made by the Democratic Presidential nominee has “everyone seems to interpret differently. Of course, by “everyone” she means the voices inside her own head :

Interestingly enough, this isn’t the first case in which oral defecation has aired on national television:

The Huffington Post reported yesterday that Hill has since been fired, although it hasn’t been clearly linked to the statements she made earlier this week.

She has also issued an pseudo-backwards-ass apology, stating “not my intention” this, “didn’t mean to associate” that, blah blah, whatever she’s fired. Done.

In her place Fox plans to bring on Laura Ingraham, who of course is a neo-conservative host, and of course would be a rather attractive women, if it weren’t for the fact that she has no soul.

Check out the lovely Laura in a tift with Hardball’s Chris Matthews, and see how, like many other Republican women, exude nothing but class and charm.

And also, a penis.

So, as you know your boy John McCain attempted to steal some of the spotlight off Obama’s big night by offering an “uplifting speech” of his own. His audience was about the size of a small kindergarten classroom vs. Obama’s stadium filled supporters.

The lime green backdrop, coupled with his poor teleprompter skills (is reading THAT hard??) resulted in a trainwreck so bad, the folks at Fox Faux News found it difficult to support. Peep the video, courtesy of the good folks at Talking Points Memo:
